Our latest newsletter will help “accidental managers.”
Who are they?
People promoted to a management position with little or no training for the role.
It happened to me, and perhaps it's happened to you or to someone who works with you or for you.
If so, I know what it feels like.
All those years ago, I was delighted to be promoted.
I felt I was getting somewhere with my career, but I would have benefited from some training for my new role.
Instead, I learnt as I went along, and although things overall worked out well, I could have avoided some missteps.
That experience, and reading about the lack of training that still persists for new managers, prompted me to write The New Manager Issue.
It highlights the critical things a new manager should focus on from the start.
What’s recommended are foundational actions. Things that will serve a manager well in the short and long term.
If you think this information could help you or a colleague, you’ll find more details on what’s covered and our special two-for-one offer with this link.
Very best,
