No doubt, you’re familiar with the phrase, “The harder I work, the luckier I get.”
It means that if you put in a lot of effort, you’ll get excellent or above-average results.
You can outwork colleagues and competitors to achieve greater results, bag bigger bonuses, promotion, or all three of those great benefits.
But what if working longer and harder doesn’t make you “luckier” than those around you, just more tired?
What if improved results don’t follow all the hard work?
When that happens, it’s time to THINK HARDER.
The combination of deeper thinking and hard work is far more effective.
For example, if you have a problem to solve, doing more of what you’ve been doing to date is unlikely to improve the situation.
Somewhere, there’s a root cause and a cure to be uncovered.
There’s more about this way of thinking and acting within Under Pressure? Five Steps to Break the Cycle.
It’s a short read, and I’ll be happy to send you a copy if you complete the box on the Homepage.
Hard work only gets you so far, and that might not be so bad.
But thinking combined with action will take you further.
